Polycoven seeking Eighth

Merry Meet from Spiderweb Coven! We’re a practicing coven of friendly, romantically involved WLW (woman-loving women)/WLW (witch-loving witches) presently seeking/open to one more covener/lover, to reach the perfect and sacred number eight! We’re willing to train somebody who’s a good fit in our tradition and in it for the long haul.

Just to say a little about us and our coven, we’ve been practicing under this name in the Eskhatonic tradition since the early nineties. But don’t let the tradition fool you: We celebrate life and this material plane each and every day. Outside of our varied magical works in the field of Divine Transmanifestation, we’re each individually and as a coven highly involved in social and environmental activism in our community. We live collectively and govern by consensus on a fifty-acre property south of Wilmington Delaware, comprised of forest, several orchards, and gardens lovingly stewarded by our coveners. Our spacious colonial farmhouse has just enough room for one more resident! All of our financial needs are met by sales of our veganic produce and homemade tofu at nearby farmers markets. We make every effort to live lives that prepare the world for the return of Creatrix Pry Cop Brenhines, Great Mother Weaver Spider, who will unravel the world and all the cruelties contained within.

Some base requirements:

Now read on to learn a little about each of our members and what we’re looking for… :)

Edderkop, but Ed for short.

Gemini Sun, Leo Moon, Gemini Asc. In my younger years I was something of a radical, oddball, and lone wolf, which culminated in a brief but destructive streak of high-profile anti-industrial direct action. My manifesto days, however, are far behind me, though my ideals are still carried closely to my heart. I tend to get overinvolved in my work and reclusive to the exclusion of just about anything else, but the position of high priestess and facilitator in this tradition keeps me grounded in family and enables me to pursue my passions in a way that benefits my community as well. As far as the little things go, I’m an outdoors and self-sufficiency enthusiast, an avid diarist, and I’ve been called a luddite once or twice (thanks to Pajek for helping me make this section). Seeking someone who likes roughing it, maybe has her own revolutionary streak, and can abide a workaholic like myself. We have a very heady and potent highly emotional bent right now and I think we could benefit from someone with a bit more of a grounded vibe.

Arachne

Capricorn Leo moon Gemini ascendant. What to say about me? I’m addicted to devotion. A devoted lover, devoted to my craft and my Goddess, to my family and my coven. I’m a self-taught Seventh-Star energetic and herbal healer, eager and passionate to put these skills to use in my coven and greater community. I have the privilege of developing and producing medicines exclusively from ingredients expertly cultivated on our farm by Merry. My greatest achievement in that field (so far!) is the development of an effective herbal contraceptive for cats. Always working out the kinks, though; it also makes them nonverbal. For fun and personal enrichment, I brew an assortment of ciders and wines from the fruit of our orchard. You simply must try my pomegranate wine! My love language is quality time and I adore doing work and creative projects with the people I love. My dream girl would probably be a fire sign, bring her own craft and interests to the table, and perhaps enjoy partying as much as I do.

Spinne

I’m a Virgo, Taurus moon and Scorpio rising. I specialize in divination via scrying and for fun, I maintain our library and grimoires. I tend to be slow to fall in love but have a big heart. An avid craftswoman, I gravitate toward and quiet time indoors, doing things on my own but in the presence of the ones I love. When I’m not knitting or binding books I’m working on home and yard renovations around the covenstead, bringing little touches of glamour to our home. But don't get me wrong, I'll have a blast out on day trips or sight-seeing in beautiful Wilmington. In the interest of harmony within our coven, I think another water sign would be disruptive and that we could benefit from the kind of grounding vibe that another earth sign would bring.

Araignée

Scorpio Sun. Scorpio Moon. Sagittarius Rising. Emotional powerhouse. My specialty is ritual energetics and I deliver. Poet. Multi-instrumentalist. I shredded so hard at the rite for Beltaine 2019 that I conjured a thunderclap that split Spinne like a starfish and she’s two people now. I’m most at home on a stage, leading ritual, or howling my heart out in the woods. Outside of our coven work, my ultimate dream in life is to find another double scorpio musician and start a passionate music project/love affair à la Hall and Oates, eventually culminating in a family folk band in our twilight years. You should send an email if you’re also a musician and looking to make some magic together.

Merimangë (Merry)

Taurus Sun/Libra Moon/Gemini Ascendant. I’m our resident farmer and I preside over the orchard and the vegetable and herb gardens. I’m passionate about permaculture and developing creative solutions for the many challenges that gardening as a system rather than monoculture presents. More than that, I’m passionate about being the steward of a community of dear plant allies that mostly sustains itself and leaves me plenty of time for leisure, which for me usually involves reading or napping out in the shade. My ideal date would be picnicking nude in our orchard, feeding each other plums straight from the tree, grapes from the vine…… I tend toward luxuriating if offered the chance and think that another air sign would bring a good sort of dynamism to our coven. I'm a sucker for artists and good cooks.

Spinne 2

I object to being called Spinne 2, but unfortunately upon the splitting I lost the coin toss.

Pajek

Gemini/Taurus/Virgo An amateur mycologist, weaver, painter, carpenter, tailor, potter, you name it, I can do it or figure it out. My interests lie more in learning for its own sake than in any one hobby, but my primary service to the coven is in the cultivation and extraction of psychoactive substances from our plant and fungal allies. Currently, my passion project is teaching our six literate but presently nonverbal indoor cat companions to speak. The only thing I love more than a project to throw myself into is taking up something entirely new. My dream girl would either keep up with me or slow me down to her pace. So I guess an earth or air sign. Definitely not a water sign. My dream date would be an entire day together, maybe walking the broad sunny avenues of our beautiful city of Wilmington, allowing impulse to seize us by the hand. Where would we end up? The theater? A cafe, pedicures? Shopping in cramped little boutiques maybe, browsing dusty shelves in a used book store, then laughing together over cocktails in a dim intimate restaurant…

If an arrangement like this seems like a good fit for you, we look forward to hearing from you! Unfortunately at this time we will not be accepting applications from scorpios :/
